FDC proud to support the first Galileo User Assembly

28th to 29th November 2017

The first Galileo User Assembly was held in Madrid on 28 and 29 November 2017 at the European GNSS Service Centre (GSC) during which the European GNSS User Consultation Platform (UCP) was officially launched. The UCP is an open forum for users to discuss their needs, share experiences and provide feedback on the performance of European GNSS.
With 300 participants attending the event, the UCP allowed GNSS users and experts to share information on needs, technology and market trends, and builds a sustainable platform to exchange user perspectives.

The main work of the UCP took place through nine parallel workshop sessions grouping participants by market segment: Agriculture, Aviation, Mass market (LBS), Maritime, Rail, Road, Surveying, Timing and R&D.

FDC have supported GSA in the preparation and coordination of the UCP developing the preliminary User Requirement documentation for the event and actively contributing to all parallel sessions.
